Is there any scary birds I shall watch out for?.lol! but serious I heard something on the news about bird flu but when I turned on my TV the news was almost done, so I didn't chats up exactly what they said.

How common is it for bird chicks (babies) to kill each other? I just came across some sad info about eagle chicks - the stronger chicks will kill the weaker ones in order to enhance their own odds of survival. How common is this in other bird species? When u watch news n see pelicans w oil on em n cant fly does it break ur heart? I'm from Louisiana and can barely watch the news anymore. Every news broadcast has pelicans and birds covered with oil and can't fly. What do u think from areas not effected? (I live on the water... this really sux!!!)

Bird Flu...Help? I want to save up for a Cockatiel and mu mom said that if I was responsible I could,,Well she was watching the news today and it said somthing about the bird flu. OMG, do you watch the news? last week many of the places on earth came under attack from giant brains. This is bad because brain make people dumb. All glory to the hipno-toad. The planet express team fail to deliver stuff because some places were destroyed by brains. A poodle monkey named nibbler flew a space ship and talked to leela in some ancient language. She though she was going crazy from years of wild hedonism. The professor was not smart. The robot started talking about no heart beet because he is stupid and forgot he was not human. Along the way to his home, nibbler told her about brains making earth stupider then normal. Most people sat and watched the news. Some bad things happened. A train crashed and piled up, but it was ok because the governor lady said I sending more train. The brain spawn no like thought, so they make people stupid. Not just people, but animals, and even some plants have brain waves that offend them. Some guy named fry does not. He is “special”. A bird yelled at him though a megaphone. Nobody knows why he is special, maybe because he doesn't shower. Leela's prom dress was made of carpet scraps. They wrote down a message for her because she was to stupid to something or another. Tomas Jefferson was our first president, not a pickle jar. Owe, fire hot! She say brain make people dumb, but fry say it make people smart. But a giant brain is basically a giant nerd, so go to library. Fry wanted to kick its ***, but it did not have an ***. It trapped fry in a story, but he got out, and wrote a story for brain. Leela like Mr Qwuequa. Brain stuck in loop hole of run on sentences and stuff, then left earth forever, for no raisin. The earth was saved.

Can pets and birds predict earthquakes? At about 1 o clock this morning our cockatiels went crazy for five minutes and wouldn't stop chirping. It was only later when watching the news I saw that this was the exact time of todays UK earthquake. I didn't feel it, but our birds clearly did and knew something was up. Are animals really the first to know about things like this? Have there been any proper scientific studies. Any reliable links?

I was watching the news the other day and they ran a headline about a film that's "so bad it's good" and they played a short clip which looked like it had eagles/hawks attacking people with god-awful special effects. humanity crumbling, perfection budding.? I recently read a theory about "the more a country worries about looks and the physical out side the more likely it is for that country to fail". This made sense to me, How much time do many of us spend in the bathroom perfecting what we look like to fit a ever changing mold? how many of my generation (Im 20) pick up the newspaper for the funnies and us the rest as a bird cage liner? How many of us watch the news, I know I dont. I only recently started getting more interested in watching/reading important topics when i started college. So my question is, where do you think the USA/the world is heading? Its great to be healthy and live long, but iv noticed that we all seem to be shallow, I would rather sink with knowledge then float with the perfect scales.

Anyway, the program told of a news story from Iran that a large bird had grabbed and flown away with a 1-year-old child. The mother had been changing the boy in a park when the eagle came down and grabbed the little boy in it's talons and flew off with him. I didn't know there were eagles in Iran but I'm sure that's what it said. Is it even possible that a bird could lift and fly off with a 1-year-old boy? I guess it's obvious what the bird intended to do with the little boy.

An elderly couple was watching the news on TV when a breaking story broke in. The reporter explained that a person was killed in the K-Mart shopping center. The elderly man turned up the volume because he was very interested in the story. The reporter continued, " We just gotten the latest news, it appears that a blond has been ran over by a parked car."

Please help me? Is this a mental disorder? Little history first. I have been hallucinating since I was 5 until around the age of 12. I was terrified of the dark and would have things grabbing me in the night, jumping on my bed, things creeping up to my bed, or seeing monsters faces/eyes/teeth/things slithering/dark shapes etc etc. When I did fall asleep I would usually be awakened by a nightmare which gave me a horrible feeling that woke me up. Then it would cycle through all the sounds/sights until I was just exhausted and passed out. Either that or my sister would come home and go to sleep, I could go to sleep if someone else was in the room. I felt as if my room was haunted, I at one time tried to enter my room but was held back by some kind of "force." I realize none of this was real and when I got to the age of 12 I moved house. I trained my mind to ignore the sounds and completely relax my body. If I didn't respond to anything I heard they went away, or so I thought. from the age of 12 up to 16 I would have these "rape dreams" and other dreams where I was held down and unable to wake from my sleep. I've also had extremely vivid and lifelike dreams my entire life but these dreams were way different. I can remember dreams I've had when I was 4. I prided myself with being able to control what I saw more or less or change my surroundings. I could take a picture with my eyes and color it instantly into black and white or different colors etc etc. I've always been extremely creative and a brilliant student. I've had one paranoid delusion in my life which I cannot get over. I believe that whenever I watch the news I feel like the people are watching me and can hear what I say. I have even dressed up to watch the news and at one point lived in a fantasy that one of my inventions had hit it off and the news people were interviewing me. I've also imagined have affairs with them etc to the point where I feel awkward watching them. I'm 17 now, and last night I had a dream much like the dreams I had from age 5-12. I see flashes of things that aren't really there such as recently I saw a bird fly in the house that really wasn't there and a month flying around me that wasn't really there either. These flashes are only visible for about 1 second each and then vanish. They also differ from reality in the sense that they seem to be in a different dimension and are soundless. Recently I've been constantly hallucinating, lights and shadows are driving me insane! Everything seems like its moving and I see a lot of sparks. Its constant and extremely annoying. Is this an eye problem or is it somehow linked with everything else? I also was seeing faces in my wall last night and the light distorted into this human like figure but nothing has been moving as it would in the past. I need to know if I need to seek help. I've never had this "everything slightly moving" sight problem before and I'm afraid there is something wrong with my eyes? The patterns are like zig zags and spark. Please help me, I'm so scared of seeking help.

chilling nightmare,what does it mean (long,plz read important)? I don't watch scary movies alot,the last scary movie i saw was last year.So my nightmare wasn't caused by movies or tv.Anyway i had a dream about my neighbor,Rachael.In the dream she tells me she's going to this party at a friends crib.So i'm all "cool,have a good time" and she leaves in her car to go to the party. After she leaves,i decide to take a walk around my neighborhood.And while i'm walkin i see all these birds in the trees,like 45 to a single tree,they looked like blue robbins.Then one of em flies down and lands next to me and it starts whisperin "Rachael...Rachael..." then another one flies down and it too starts to whisper "Rachael...Rachael..." then a 3rd bird flies down and perches on my shoulder and whispers "call...Ra...chael..." they keep this up till there's about fifteen of em surrounding me whisperin the same thing over and over again,till finally i just run in the house. I think to myself (maybe i should call her,but she's probably havin a good time i don't wanna bother her or creep her out) instead i call her cell later around 9pm but no answer.So i assume she has it off or she's havin a good time. The next day (in the dream) i try callin again,still no answer.And she hasn't come back home yet,but i don't let it worry me.I turn on the t.v to get my mind off it,and theres a news story about police findin some girls body lying in the woods,completely nude and police have suspicion she was raped.And i continue watching the news story to see who the poor girl is,and it's Rachael. what does it mean? in real life i talk to her when i see her,but we're not tight.Should i tell her anyway? should i be worried about this?

Who has failed the children? Who is responsible for kids 1-17 not being taught proper sexual education. I learned the birds and the bees in 3rd grade. My mom gave us a child's book and explained to us about molestation in Kindergarden. We have watched the news since 5th grade. in the 90's when I was a teenager I always had older 18-25 year old guys talk to me, my sisters and our friends at the mall or whatever. They'd try to get with us because we were young and they thought were stupid. We rejected the morons who obviously wanted to control us and screw us over. My mom explained to us why older guys go for 13-16 year olds and it made perfect sense. Q: Who has failed the children growing up, so they don't understand what is acceptable and what is not? is it the home, media, schools? what? All are great answers, I just wish more kids wouldn't get sucked up in the BS. I wish more girls growing up wouldn't let older guys have their way with them and think it's normal for all older guys to get with teenage minors. It's not new either, but it IS wrong for a reason.

Forecasters are predicting chaos on roads next week, with warnings of ice and snow. You know what I predict? half an inch of snow on high ground, it gets a little frosty. Same old thing every year, weathermen try and sex up the forecast and its never as bad as they say. Every year they predict this will be the hottest summer/ coldest winter on record. They now issue severe weather forecasts at the drop of a hat! It gets a bit windy and they issuing me with a severe weather warning. Why oh why oh why cant we get back to sensible forecasts, when people like Michael Fish just couldnt be even arrsed to tell us about a hurricane. Thats the way it should be, no one listens to the weather forecast anyway. If I HAVE to listen to it I just want to know is it going to rain, none of the sexy forecasts they try and do now. How to protect plants from frost? I know its a bit early, but I always get caught short when an unexpected freeze is announced. Getting ready for bed, watching the 11pm news and being told to protect your tender vegetation tonight! So what do you all do to save your plants? I usually put my cactus/succulents either in the garage for the winter or under an overhang. What do you do with large plants like the giant bird of paradise? I've heard that covering them can work, but not to let anything touch the leaves. Not sure how one does that. Also read that you can water or spray your plants so that when the water freezes, the plant wont get much colder than freezing. As a last resort, if its not raining. I thought about cranking up all the barbeques I have leave them glowing all night. Thought that might do something. Oh, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area - we don't get a lot of freezing nights here so we are not used to or know about dealing with this. last winter we had one night where it was 20 in my backyard. Watching economists and media analysts react to breaking economic news is a bit like looking at a flock of pigeons flying over the New York skyline. A true wonder of the urban landscape, the flocks can include hundreds of individuals who show an uncanny ability to stay in tight formation as the group quickly zig-zags between buildings. What may be even more remarkable than their ability to randomly fly while maintaining cohesion is the flock's refusal to stick to any particular direction for very long, and their determination to fly feverishly without actually going anywhere. Sound familiar? Today's weak GDP numbers have finally caused the mass of economists to revise downward their formerly optimistic recovery forecasts, with many finally entertaining the possibility of a "double dip" recession. It should be obvious by now that these economists only have the capacity to describe where the economy is moving in the short-term...they have no ability to explain the reasons behind the macro trends or make predictions that go beyond the next data release. But economics is not dart throwing. It can be understood and properly forecast. The major mental block is that most economists believe that an economy grows as a result of spending. Any policy that encourages spending and discourages savings and investment is considered beneficial. Unfortunately, these policies, which only succeed in growing debt and government, act more as an economic sedative than a stimulant. On the subject of the "recovery," I'd like to highlight some of my past predictions, and those of my colleague Michael Pento. With the benefit of hindsight, you can see that although these thoughts were widely dismissed as chronic pessimism at the time of their publication, the current situation supports our conclusions. Although some of our predictions, like for higher bond yields, have yet to materialize. Michael and I may be birds of a feather, but we don't blindly follow the flock. We believe economics is a scientific discipline with established laws, and that applying those laws will yield fairly accurate predictions over time.
