In England, can I really be locked up for bird watching using binoculars?

My friends, uncles, sisters friends sons cousins nephew was hiding in a tree whilst he was bird watching and then this naked lady started screaming at him for some reason. He ended up spending time in the local lock up.

4. Well, he was not locked up for bird watching but 'nest' watching...that is a BIG No, No in England!!!.

5. funny how, women over there are sometimes referred to as "birds", so i suppose he could've been "bird" watching, and the "bird" then saw him and screamed as you said. so it all depends on what type of bird watching he was doing, if he was in a tree, it could very well be either.

6. That's ironic, because I was locked up for having sex with a bird.

8. I suppose if it was very cold - he could have claimed he was watching blue t*ts

9. Of course he spent time at the lock-up, he had to give a detailed statement of the
' bird ' in question, and a photo fit to make sure if it was that ' bird ' or not, he was spotting :)
